Black Panther has hit yet another major box office milestone, six months after its initial release.Per Box Office Mojo, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has now become the third film ever to cross $700 million in the US theater market. Black Panther now only trails behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million) and Avatar ($760 million). Black Panther has also grossed roughly $646 million internationally, making for an estimated $1.346 billion global box office total.
THR reports Disney and Marvel slightly increased the movie’s theater count so it’d successfully achieve the domestic record. Black Panther has a become a global and cultural phenomenon and has showed that diversity in movies are a great thing for all audiences no matter the race and it pulls in massive amount of revenue also. Congrats to Marvel Studios and Disney for creating Black Panther and a big special congratulations goes to director Ryan Coogler and Star actor Chadwick Boseman and the Black Panther cast! You guys earned it!
